Carolyn Krupski is a rising junior at Cornell University, studying Industrial and Labor Relations and Art History.  She also studies classical singing, writes for the Cornell Daily Sun, and works as a Senior Consultant for the Social Business Consulting Group.  Carolyn has also worked on economic development and education policy issues as a High Road Fellow in Buffalo, NY and a Teach for America Ambassador in Las Vegas, NV.  Originally from upstate NY, Carolyn graduated from Shenendehowa High School where she was a lead performer in her high school musical company, taught ballet, tap, and jazz, and held numerous leadership positions in the student government, the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the Intergenerational Mentoring club.  Carolyn is excited for the opportunity to study at the Scotland Summer Institute.  She is currently pursuing an independent study of American culture formation and, while in Scotland, she hopes to learn about the ways in which national identities are perpetuated and preserved through public policies, museums, and the arts.
