Erika Meitner is the author of four books of poetry—most recently Copia (BOA Editions, 2014), and Ideal Cities (HarperCollins, 2010), which was a 2009 National Poetry Series winner.  Her poems and essays have been anthologized widely in volumes including The Best American Poetry 2011, Best African American Essays: 2010, and The Bloomsbury Anthology of Contemporary Jewish American Poetry.  Originally from Great Neck, New York, she earned her BA from Dartmouth College, and her MFA in creative writing and MA in religious studies from the University of Virginia.  Currently, she is an associate professor of English at Virginia Tech, where she teaches in the MFA program in creative writing, and lives in the mountains with her husband and two young sons.  As a Fulbright Scholar, she will be teaching and working on her 5th poetry collection, Fragments from Holymoleyland at Queen’s University Belfast.
