Mandana Mofidi is an award-winning journalist based in New York City and works for the prestigious CBS News program 60 Minutes. Before establishing herself at 60 Minutes, Ms. Mofidi reported and produced news stories for CBS Network Radio News, Premiere Radio Network and Pacifica Radio Network. She attended the University of California, Santa Cruz here she studied Community Studies and Journalism. Her senior thesis entitled “Materializing Revolutionary Icons” was awarded the Dean’s Award – a tremendous, honorable achievement. After graduating, she was selected as an International Radio and Television Society Foundation (IRTS) Summer Fellow where she embarked her career in media. Outside the newsrooms, she is actively involved in dance and most recently produced, directed, and starred in a well-received one woman show. As a Fulbright-Alistair Cooke scholar, she will acquire her MA in International Journalism with City University London. Her dissertation will be focused on UK Asylum Seekers.
