Distinguished Awards in Teaching
The Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching programme recognises and encourages excellence in teaching in the US and abroad.
US teachers receive grants to study at a university, observe classes and complete a project pertaining to their field of educational inquiry during their time abroad.
The Distinguished Awards in Teaching are a separate and distinct programme to the core Scholar Awards.
The application process for the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching is facilitated by the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX). Please contact IREX via fulbrightDA@irex.org if you have any questions about the programme.
Full details and the link to the application can be found on the programme's website.
The following UK institutions have agreed to host Fulbright Distinguished Teachers:
- University of Birmingham
- Durham University
- University of Edinburgh
- University of Glasgow
- University of Leeds
