Queen's University Belfast Creative Writing

The Fulbright Queen's University Belfast Award in Creative Writing covers a six-month appointment to write, lecture, teach, and deliver public readings of one's own work.

The Fulbright Scholar will assist in teaching one undergraduate creative writing class, as well as conduct one graduate workshop in the Scholar's field of expertise and interest. Public readings of published work and works-in-progress will be sponsored by the Seamus Heaney Centre and the School of Arts, English and Languages.

Teaching/lecturing hours per week are flexible and may be negotiated with Queen's University Belfast. More generally, the scholar is expected to contribute to the ongoing work of the Center and engage broadly in discussion, interaction, collaboration, and research while in residence.

Scholars wishing to undertake teaching/research grants should determine percentage of the grant dedicated to each activity with the host institution.
