The Fulbright University of York History of Art Award covers a three-to-eight month project for research, lecturing or teaching in an appropriate discipline within the department.

The Department of History of Art at York is an internationally recognised centre for study and research. It offers world-class expertise in the visual arts, architecture and art theory.
The department is one of the largest and most dynamic communities of art historians in the UK. They have more than twenty permanent members of staff who teach and research topics that range from the medieval period to the present.
Each year the department host visiting professors and scholars from around the world who contribute to the exciting teaching and research programme at York.

This funding is intended as a contribution towards US-UK travel, institutional fees, accommodation, and general maintenance costs while in the UK.
