The Fulbright All Disciplines Award covers postgraduate academic work in any subject at any accredited US university.

This includes:

  • Master's degrees
  • Doctoral degrees
  • Visiting student research or independent research projects
  • Non-degree study at the Master’s level (including postgraduate certificate programmes)

Within the All Disciplines Award category, we will select recipients for the following award designations. There is no need to apply specifically for these award categories.

Fulbright Alumni Award

Generously supported by the US UK Fulbright alumni network, the recipient of this award will be chosen for their exceptional ambassadorial qualities.

Fulbright 70th Anniversary Award

In honour of the 70th anniversary of the US UK Fulbright Commission, this award will be given to an individual who most embodies the values of Senator Fulbright.

British Schools and Universities Foundation Award

Generously supported by the British Schools and Universities Foundation.

Grant amount

  • Up to $45,000

This is intended as a contribution towards the first year of tuition fees and general maintenance costs in the USA.

The All Disciplines Award is the most competitive Fulbright scholarship. If your project seems suited to one of our subject-specific or university-specific Awards, we recommend you apply in one of those categories. Please see Postgraduate Awards Available.
