Indiana University Maurer School of Law has been granting graduate degrees to international lawyers for over 100 years. We are a top-35 ranked law school with an A+ grade from International Jurist. The law school earned the top rating for its law school experience, earning honors for practical training, its mentoring program, and its Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. The school also earned an A rating for overall value and drew top honors for academic quality.
Our internationally respected LLM program offers highly qualified students the opportunity to pursue advanced legal studies in a rigorous, but supportive, environment. LLM students have the option to choose from six specialisations in business and commercial law, financial regulation, information privacy and cybersecurity, intellectual property, international law, or American law.
Each year, we enroll 40-50 new graduate students. Each class typically consists of students from 18-20 countries. JD and graduate students take most of their classes together, which enhances learning in and outside of the classroom. Our LLM alumni network includes practitioners, judges, and public servants in more than 50 countries.
The law school is located in Bloomington, Indiana, ranked by Condé Nast Traveler as the #3 most beautiful college campus in the US. Bloomington offers the charm of a small town with the international sophistication of a large city. Indianapolis, the state capital, is 45 minutes north of campus.
