UNK is a public institution located in the central region of the United States. UNK’s 515-acre campus is home to 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students, with nearly 500 international students enrolled. 

More than 200 majors are available in business, education, psychology, management, arts and sciences, and education. UNK also offers pre-professional tracks in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, dental, law, veterinary and meteorology. Average class size is 24, student-to-faculty ratio is 14:1. Students can join 180 active student organizations including academic and professional, recreational and special interest clubs.
